Tesco Groceries

The brief

Tesco was modernising their tech stack and the Tesco Groceries website was to be rebuilt on a new technical platform. But, it wasn’t a simple lift-and-shift exercise. The new site needed to be responsive, have strategic modifications to enhance the customer experience and the look-and-feel needed to align with a fresh brand expression.

The solution

My role was to lead a team of UX and UI designers and oversee the translation of the to site to the new platform. Strategic improvements to enhance the customer experience were designed, extensively tested and implemented. The UI design followed (and extended) Tesco’s Digital Design Language — a continually evolving toolkit used to design Tesco digital products.
